from Kim Schoenadel, CEO KSA, ASID Virginia Chapter President:
His work is truly an Art Form. He is recognized as one of the top ten hospitality photographers and I can certainly understand why. His work appealed to both our commercial and residential engineers.

Melodi E. Terhune, CID, ASID, LEED AP, ASID Virginia Chapter Professional Development Director:
We still continue to receive positive comments and feedback from the time you spent with us. I hope you enjoyed the experience as much as we did. It was a true delight to have you as our Distinguished Speaker. Please feel free to list us as a reference. I would be glad to speak with anyone considering you for another event.

from Sue Raymond, Professional Development Director, ASID Oregon Chapter:
Mr. Anderson's seminar presented to the ASID Oregon Chapter was most informative and enjoyable. His teaching style is so relaxed and at the same time so full of information he captured our undivided attention. In fact we kept him beyond his seminar time line and he continued to answer question after question. His self confidence in his trade was apparent and he encouraged us to achieve the same. He gave us the gift of his trade secrets to insure our success as design professionals.

from Shannon Christensen, ASID Oregon Chapter President:
This past February the ASID Oregon Chapter invited Dennis Anderson to make a presentation to our membership of his seminar "The Magic of Architectural Photography." I can tell you that it was a pleasure to work with Mr. Anderson and that his presentation was one of the most interesting and informative that we have had to date. The positive comments from experienced designers to the student members in attendance were so extraordinary and positive.

from Beth Kuzbek, ASID, Business Development Manager, Eldercare Interiors Milwaukee, Wisconsin:
I first heard Mr. Anderson's seminar in 2006 at the Hospitality Design Expo & Conference. I was so impressed with his excellent slide presentation, the content of his seminar and his informal presentation style that we immediately engaged him to come to our company to speak to our entire interior design team and marketing departments, who were equally impressed.
His presentation lead to an engagement with our firm to photograph some of our completed interior design projects. We believe the ideas that Dennis Anderson shared with our marketing and interior design team and his excellent photography lead the way for us to win four ASID Design Awards in 2006.
I highly recommend this seminar to anyone interested in raising the bar in their own firm or organization for excellence in architectural and interior design photography.

from John Lenaas, Creative Director, Hospitality Design Magazine, 770 Broadway, 4th Fl, NY, NY 10003:
Last year at the HD 2006 expo in Las Vegas, Dennis Anderson was invited to present a photography seminar. The seminar was the Language of Architectural Photography #7601.
I have worked with Dennis as a professional photographer for many years, however I was not prepared for the enlightening, instructive presentation to a capacity audience.

from Michelle Verdigets, ASID, President, South Central Chapter ASID:
This letter is to recommend Dennis Anderson as a participant in ASID's Distinguished Speaker Series. I had the opportunity to attend a CEU by Mr. Anderson in April 2007, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. I was very impressed with the content of the presentation and his ability to communicate his subject matter to the audience. As an interior designer who has just begun using the services of professional photographers to document my work, I truly appreciated the tips on how to work with a photographer, what to expect from the photography session, and how to efficiently prepare for the shoot. After Mr. Anderson's CEU, I feel much more confident in my ability to hire a professional photographer and to anticipate a maximum positive outcome from the photography session. I believe that other designers and students will also benefit from the information Mr. Anderson can provide.

from Claire L. Hamilton, ASID, Professional Development Director, South Central Chapter:
I am writing to request that you consider Dennis Anderson for the ASID distinguished Speaker Series. Mr. Anderson, a professional photographer, specializes in architectural photography and lighting and has been published in many design related periodicals such as Hospitality Design, Architectural Digest and Contract Design. His presentations focus on how interior designers can work with professional photographers to achieve the best possible results for having their work published, creating marketing literature or entering design competitions. His focus is on point-of-view, the magic-hour, and lighting. In addition, his presentations clearly outline a basic understanding of photography terminology and offers simple tips for creating a more stimulating photograph that fully grasps the sense of space.
As a professor of interior design and the Professional Development Director for ASID South Central Chatter, I just hosted Mr. Anderson for a 3 hour seminar last week. Mr. Anderson spoke to a crowd of designers, students and professional photographers. I believe that any designer that has used a "professional" photographer before would benefit from this presentation. His presentation is not geared for the "do-it-yourselfers" nor is it really geared for the photographers - giving away his trade secrets. It is mainly geared for the professional interior designer who has worked or plans to get his or her work professionally photographed. I know this seminar would be appropriate for the Distinguished Speaker Series.
You can check out his art on his website and see what a difference his techniques can make in a space. http://www.dandersonphoto.com As a speaker, Mr. Anderson is entertaining and engaging. I hope you will consider his CEU for the upcoming year. You may reach me at 601-266-6437 if you have any further questions. Thank you for considering Mr. Anderson for the Distinguished Speaker Series.

I am the faculty sponsor for a student chapter of ASID from the University of Central Oklahoma. I would like to make you aware of an outstanding speaker available for ASID members. His name is Dennis Anderson and he specializes in architectural photography of both interior and exterior projects. He presented a CEU to the Eastern and Western Divisions of the Oklahoma Chapter of ASID in March of this year entitled "The Language of Architectural Photography." This was co-sponsored with the student chapters from the University of Central Oklahoma (Western) and Tulsa Community College (Eastern) and was a very well-attended event by both professional and student members.
Mr. Anderson was a very insightful and knowledgeable speaker, offering an overview of the architectural photography field as well as advising members on points to consider when pursuing potential publication for projects. He was extremely personable, and was meticulous in not only his craft but also the presentation of his work to an audience, a trait much sought after and appreciated by professional interior designers.
I highly recommend Mr. Anderson as a speaker and know his expertise and knowledge would be a benefit to other chapters around the country.

from Kim Paddleford, ASID, Oklahoma Chapter President '06-'07:
I am writing to recommend Dennis Anderson as a candidate for the Distinguished Speaker series. He visited our chapter March 28-29, 2007 and presented "The Language of Architectural Photography" a 1 hour CEU course #7061. He presented on Wednesday evening for our Western Design Community in Oklahoma City, and then again on Thursday afternoon for our Eastern Design Community in Tulsa.
In both design communities the reviews were are all very positive. I had a lot of feedback that people wished they could experience the 3-hour CEU sometime. Mr. Anderson's presentation style is very relaxed and engaging. His presentation really opened my eyes, and I'm sure others' as to how various techniques, particularly utilizing light, shadow, and texture can create an extraordinary photograph. I think one of the biggest things I took away from the presentation is that when people are actually in a space, as opposed to looking at a still photo, they are really experiencing it and taking in all things at once. Mr. Anderson explained to us how to best capture that "experience" in a photograph.
I am pleased to recommend him of the Distinguished Speaker Series.

from Katie Je Gonzales, Allied ASID, KTJ By Design L.L.C.:
It was my great pleasure to make the acquaintance of Dennis Anderson, architectural photographer, at a recent CEU hosted by our Oklahoma State chapter of ASID. Dennis proved to be a very articulate and interesting speaker when presenting his course on the Language of Architectural Photography.
I serve as an Adjunct at two universities in Oklahoma and encouraged many of my design students to attend Dennis' CEU as I felt it would be of value to them in creating their portfolios. Several students attended and later discussed with me all they had learned from this CEU. Dennis gave his website address as a continuing resource which I have done.
Dennis articulated the back-story of each photograph through his slide presentation, even portraying two types of lighting to illustrate the value of proper lighting for specific venues. Dennis proved the consummate professional and conveyed, with style and candor, the message of "quality photography" as a valuable resource to the design community. I left that CEU with many ideas about improving my firm's photographic portfolio and how to guide my students in their own portfolio development. Dennis Anderson's CEU was not only informative, but inspirational.
I highly endorse Dennis Anderson to be listed in the ASID Distinguished Speakers Series.
